    Description

Kinetic Systems 1201-02-12 Vibraplane Vibration Isolation Table
For sale- a Kinetic Systems Vibraplane Vibration Isolation Table Model 1201-02-12.
The lower table assembly is in pretty good shape physically.
I do need to note that one of the rubber airbags I guess you would call it is inverted as pictured, but I suspect that is just because some passerby in the surplus inspection was trying to figure out what it was without really having any need to know.
If it was punctured I could see it being maybe not as taut as the others but not entirely inverted.
If I could figure out how to apply some air pressure to the thing I could perhaps test that theory, but I don’t see where the input is.
Also need to note that I believe some aluminum inserts are supposed to go on top of the rubber airbag, but I only have three of those as pictured unless my next trip over to the surplus warehouse I can track the other one down.
I would assume the fourth to be missing for now, so it would behoove you to find out if a replacement is available before you buy.
The pictures show the underside of the tabletop because that’s the way it was on the pallet when I bought it.
Which is fine, it allows the lower table to be put on top of it without scratching up the working surface.
But when I tried to flip it over to get a picture or at least a look at the upper surface I couldn’t budge the thing.
Including the pallet it weighs almost 500 pounds!
I measure it at a bit over 47x30 inches.
I will try to get it picked up enough to get a picture of the working surface which is usually a magnetic stainless.
But it will probably ship face down to protect it, so you will need a plan on how to flip it and then get it up on top of the table.
Given the shipping costs involved here I don’t consider a return to be practical.
Usually I would list something as USED unless there is something obviously broken about it, but other than the one airbag being deflated it looks OK to me.
So while I have painted an accurate picture I think based on what I see I don’t want someone using ebay’s ridiculous definition of USED as an excuse to make me pick up the tab for shipping out and back.
So, without knowing it to be defective I am offering it for parts or repair only, no returns allowed.
Untested, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered
    .
Please check out my other listings for more interesting lab, test, and optical equipment.
I have some older, smaller vibraplane table tops, the lower portion of which have problems.
So if you are just looking for a table top please try me again soon.
    Check back often!
Sold as is, as described, as pictured.
Potential buyers are asked to please make sure you have read the listing carefully, and understand what you are buying.
Ebay’s condition codes for used items, which I am now required to select from, might imply a degree of functionality that my limited time, knowledge, and facilities do not allow me to ascertain.
If the functional condition of the item is known it will be stated as such in the listing.
Unless a warranty is specifically offered returns are not accepted regardless of any implied functionality.
Shipping will be motor freight on a pallet unless you would like to come pick it up.
I would estimate the shipping weight at around 700 pounds.
I would estimate the freight cost for that at between 0 and 0 to the east and west coast respectively.
Residential deliveries, deliveries that require liftgates, deliveries to the boonies, and deliveries to schools or universities will all be more because it takes longer for the carrier to get the job done.
Shipping will be via Old Dominion Freight Lines, which has done a consistently good job getting my shipments where they are going without roughing them up.
I will be happy to quote you for the shipment, but I need to know the zip code, residential or commercial, and whether a lift gate will be required.
If you would prefer to use another carrier that’s fine .
It will be shipping from a warehouse with a loading dock in zip code 23093, but I do not live there!
I require pickup confirmation the day before and your carrier must provide an emailed printable copy of the Bill of Lading so that there is paperwork available for the driver to sign when he gets there.
The BOL should have all the info filled out when I receive it, blank copies are unacceptable.
I can ship this to Canada via Old Dominion, but they do not offer customs brokerage services, so you would need to have your own customs broker lined up before it shipped.
And while I cannot comment on the duties, tariffs, taxes and fees that might be levied, I can say that shipping to the metro areas of eastern Canada is surprisingly affordable.
