For sale- a Probe Cartridge for the ThermoMicroscopes CP-Research Probe Head.
Yeah, that’s a mouthful but I guess that is the best way to describe these things.
Two are available as pictured, price is for ONE, your choice.
Please note that although they are very similar they are not identical.
The instructions for using the AutoProbe CP-Research Probe Head says that there are three different probe to allow for operation in STM mode, Contact AFM mode, and Non-Contact AFM Mode.
I have NO idea which ones am offering here.
UPDATE: probe cartridge on the right in the first picture has sold.
Also please note that I am offering a TM Microscopes AutoProbe CP Research Probe Head in a different listing.
That is shown with what no doubt is the third variant of the probe cartridge.
Thermomicroscopes became TM Microscopes when it was sold off from Thermo, then was purchased by VEECO.
But you already knew all that, didn’t you?
To add more confusion, also in a different listing I have a Park Scientific Instruments Autoprobe CP Microscope with a stage, head and scanner.
The products look remarkably similar but I couldn’t figure out how Park Scientific fits into the equation.
Again I need to note that the Park Scientific piece is an AutoProbe CP, NOT a CP Research, and it looks like the two are not compatible.
Specifically the CP-Research instructions say that the probe cartridges for the CP are black while the ones for the CP-Research are blue.
These are both blue although the color is not nearly the same for both, I guess the flash washes it out.
But they are both blue.
If you were to buy the probe head I would certainly be willing to entertain offers for one or both of these cartridges.
Untested, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered.
HOWEVER, IF you pay the asking price and it has a problem that you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.
