his handsome vintage French
Christofle
silver plate candle holder with handle is designed in the stylish “
Coquille
” (shell) pattern. It bears the maker’s marks of the famous
Maison
Christofle
in Paris, the name “
Christofle
” written in block letters contained in a rectangle below the maker’s mark which is comprised of the initials “O.C.” (
Orfèvrerie
Christofle
) surrounding the image of a scale surmounted by four stars. There is a second maker’s mark consisting of the word “France” and the initials “O.C.” (
Orfèvrerie
Christofle
) surrounding the figure of a knight from a chess set. This candle holder is in very good condition with the exception of faint scratches due to normal use. Please refer to the detailed photos on this page.
